Carved Pumpkin Contest

Do you have a talent for carving pumpkins?  

We invite teachers, staff, parents, and students to show us what you’ve got!

Bring your ALREADY CARVED pumpkins to Harvest Festival

and let your peers be the judge!

After judging, the winning pumpkins will be displayed on the Harvest Festival stage.

Pumpkin Signup

  1. Pumpkins MUST be carved at home. There will be NO carving at the festival.

  2. Pumpkins must be checked in at the Live Oak MPR between 10:30am-11:30am on Saturday, October 26th, along with an entry form (Download entry form below).

  3. Pumpkins will be on display in the MPR from 11:30am-12:00pm.

  4. Winners will be announced at approximately 1:50 pm on the stage.

  5. After the winners are announced, you MUST take your pumpkin home or it will be placed in the compost bin. Pumpkins must be picked up by 1:30pm from MPR.

  6. Entries by parents and staff will be entered in the Adult Category. Entries made by students (Live Oak students: Preschool - 5th grade) will be entered in the Kids Category. You may carve more than one pumpkin. All categories will be judged on appearance, originality, and complexity of design.

    1. Adult Category:  Best Carved Pumpkin

    2. Kids Category:  Best Carved Pumpkin

  7. Pumpkins MUST stand upright without any props, artificial base or other external support.

  8. Pumpkins cannot be painted or have any decorations attached to the pumpkin. Pumpkins MUST be carved.

  9. Pumpkins must be less than 18 inches in diameter and weigh less than 15 lbs.

  10. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category.
